Another feature for fake crystals. This one is called “cherry quartz” or “smelting quartz” (which is made in very color). This is melted down quartz made into a glass like substance. Glass is not crystalline, whereas quartz is crystalline.
Glass also has a lower density, so it will feel lighter. Smelt quartz usually has unnatural looking streaky patches in it. "Smelt quartz" does not have any of the properties of true quartz so any metaphysical properties attributed to cherry quartz are in my opinion false.
Cherry Quartz or smelting quartz can be pretty to some people and there’s nothing wrong with owning it, I just want to inform people that they’re not buying an actual crystal with metaphysical properties.
Smelting quartz comes in every color you can think of but it typically has this streaky or completely flawless look to it.
