I am going to start posting about how to spot fake crystals. First up I wanted to talk about synthetic malachite versus real. This is one of the more obvious games to spot.
Synthetic malachite is usually made of resin or polymer clay and will be lighter weight than genuine malachite. Genuine malachite has some weight to it and typically feels more dense.
Synthetic malachite has obviously and large looking banding, and has large black lines. Synthetic will have black lines and real malachite just has variations of green.
Another obvious difference is the energy, but that’s not always easy for everyone to tell from photos online. Malachite has a very grounding, protective, and empowering energy.
